Structured Cabling & Fibre

Structured cabling and fibre, installed to standard.

We design, install, test and certify copper and fibre cabling for offices, commercial buildings and large sites across Newcastle, Northumberland and the North East, from a handful of new data points to full fit-outs and fibre links between buildings.

Data Cabling

Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a structured cabling.

Good cabling is invisible when it’s done right. Every run is installed neatly, labelled, tested and left easy for anyone to work on later.

New installations

Data points, containment and cabling for new builds, office fit-outs, extensions and refurbishments.

Upgrades & repairs

Extra data points, faulty runs traced and fixed, and older cabling brought up to date.

Comms cabinets

Cabinets, patch panels and switches installed, patched and labelled so you know what’s what.

Testing & certification

Every link tested and certified, with the results handed over so you know your network will perform as it should.

Fibre Installation

Fibre backbones and links between buildings.

When copper runs out of distance or capacity, fibre takes over. We handle the whole fibre job in-house, from planning the route to testing the finished link.

Building backbones

Fibre between floors and comms rooms, giving every part of a large building a fast connection back to the core.

Links between buildings

Single-mode and multimode fibre joining separate buildings across a site, campus or holiday park into one network.

Fusion splicing & termination

Fusion splicing and neat termination into patch panels, ready to connect.

Fibre testing & repair

Every link tested on completion, and damaged fibre located, spliced and re-tested to get you back up and running.

The Foundation

Everything else runs on it.

Wi-Fi, cameras, door entry, phones and tills all depend on the cabling behind them. Get it right once and it will serve your building for years. Get it wrong and every system on top of it suffers.

Copper network cable is limited to around 100 metres per run. Fibre carries data far further, at much higher speeds, and isn’t affected by electrical interference. We’ll recommend the right mix for your building, then hand over a cabling system that’s ready for your network, Wi-Fi and CCTV.

Credentials

Certified cabling installers

CNCI (Copper + Fibre), Fluke CCTT and ECS Level 3 (Network Infrastructure Installation) certified.

Areas We Cover

Cabling and fibre installers across the North East.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, we install structured cabling and fibre throughout Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham, from city-centre offices in Newcastle and Sunderland to rural sites around Morpeth, Hexham and Alnwick. Recent work includes a site-wide OS2 fibre rollout at a Northumberland holiday park.

Questions

Cabling & Fibre FAQs

Cat6 suits most offices today. Cat6a supports higher speeds over the full cable length and is worth considering for new builds and busy Wi-Fi. We’ll recommend what fits your building and budget.

When a run is longer than copper can manage, when you’re linking separate buildings, or when you need a high-capacity backbone between comms rooms. We’ll tell you which applies on the survey.

Yes. Fibre is ideal for linking buildings, and where running a cable isn’t practical we can look at a wireless point-to-point link instead.

Yes. We can re-patch, label and tidy an existing cabinet, and trace and replace any faulty cables along the way.
